Sails at Terzo Rimini, past and present of our navy
At the port of Rimini you can admire the historic boats of the Romagna Riviera with their colorful "Vele al Terzo".
An occasion in which traditional habits and customs of the ancient local navy come to life in a commemorative cultural event aimed at all age groups.
It is possible to take guided tours of the moored boats where the crews will tell the story and characteristics of the historic boats of Romagna.
There will also be an exhibition of historical fishing equipment organized in collaboration with the E'Scaion Museum.
Furthermore, a naval expert will hold a free knot-tying course for children (Saturday 8 June).
Sunday 9 June sailing open to all free of charge (until the maximum capacity of the boats is reached).

SATURDAY 8 JUNE
- Around 10:00 am - Arrival of the historic boats of the Vele al Terzo Rimini Association in Piazzale Boscovich
- From 10:00 to 11:00 - Meditation at sea: A Meditation outing at sea will be carried out on board the Historic Boats in collaboration with the Arbor Vitae Association . Reservation required to be made by Friday 7 June at 2.00pm via email to velealterzorimini@gmail.com . The exit will only take place when a minimum of ten participants are reached and only with favorable weather and marine conditions.
- Around 3.00 pm - Arrival from the other ports of Romagna of the historic boats which will moor in Piazzale Boscovich
- From 10:00 to 19:00 - It will be possible to carry out free guided tours of the moored boats where the crews will tell the story and characteristics of the historic work boats of Romagna and will illustrate the " practice of sailing with sails at Terzo " which has just been recognized as an Intangible Cultural Asset by the Archaeological Superintendence of Fine Arts and Landscape of Ravenna pursuant to the cultural heritage code.
- From 10:00 to 19:00 - Free exhibition of historical fishing equipment organized in collaboration with the E'Scaion Museum which will also exhibit part of their enormous shell collection .
- From 10:00 to 19:00 - Information point managed in collaboration with ConfAgricoltura which will promote and illustrate the products of our territory at Km Zero .
- From 10:00 to 19:00 - All volunteer associations in our area will be invited to visit our boats and will be made aware of the therapeutic properties of sailing .
- From 4.00pm to 5.00pm - Knots course for children: An expert from our navy will hold a free knots course for children .
- Around 7.00 pm - Transfer of the boats inside the Rimini Marina
- 8.00 pm - Aperitif on board the boats offered to all crews.
- 8.30 pm - Dinner at the Hospitality Point of the Marina di Rimini offered to all crews.
SUNDAY 09 JUNE
- Around 10:00 am - Sailing open to all free of charge (until the maximum capacity of the boats is reached). During the sailing our crews will hold a lesson in " navigation with sails on the third " which has just been recognized as an Intangible Cultural Heritage by the Archaeological Superintendence of Fine Arts and Landscape of Ravenna pursuant to the cultural heritage code. The sailing will take place parallel to the coast, heading first towards the South and then towards the North in order to make the beautiful historic boats under full sail visible to all the tourists present on the beach.
At the end of the sail the boats will return to their home ports.
